After the meeting of the project team, which took place during 13 and 14 February 2010, ArtProtEco moved to a new phase of implementation. The project, launched by the Association CREED (Center for Economic Resources and Education for Development) and financed by the Youth in Action Programme, uses an innovative approach in terms of environmental protection, namely the use of photographic art as a means of information, awareness and preservation of protected natural areas and ensures greater visibility for the natural wonders.
ArtProtEco project in Romania is addressed to young people aged 15-30 years and aims to increase understanding of the need to protect nature in the Neamt County. The young participants will develop their creativity,
will acquire knowledge of photographic art and through photo creations will do create messages designed to have an impact over environmental protection.
On 01.03.2010 will start recruitment and selection of participants across the country to attend a session of 8 days during which we learn more about protected areas in the county of Neamt, we practice techniques for working with photo cameras and we will make a photo album of protected areas in Neamt.
ArtProtEco project aims to not only solve the immediate needs - advertising the importance of conservation of protected areas, but also ensuring that young people are aware that their involvement is important for sustainable development of the community.
